2D to 3D
A Series of Illustrations and Renderings
Ongoing (2023)
Bringing my life to work motivates me to transform my 2D illustrations into dynamic and practical 3D renderings. I collaborate with skilled professionals to bring my designs to life in a print-ready format. This process elevates my art to boundless possibilities, creating charismatic artworks.

Animation

The process begins with basic shapes, color coded to form the body. Mapping out these shapes before adding motion is crucial for creating a sense of depth and dimension in a 2D design.

The character creation process involves drawing and separating each body part into distinct layers using Illustrator. These layers are then imported into After Effects, where they are reassembled to form a digital puppet-like structure. Employing diverse techniques and storytelling practices, these animations bring the characters to life with creativity and enthusiasm. Each project typically involves  manipulating 40-90 layers to make fun and dynamic gifs.

This study delves into character design, specifically exploring how to depict emotions. Analyzing different techniques improves my understanding of and ability to effectively show emotions in visually expressive characters.
